My work is inspired by a desire to protect and preserve the natural world by helping others see its beauty and significance. Through painting, I hope to encourage a deeper appreciation for nature to educate and remind us of what is worth protecting.
My art explores not only our relationship with the natural world but also our connection to one another and how we can not only come together to protect our planet but protect each other for a greater humanity.
In an increasingly digital world, I believe in the value of creating with our hands. This belief guides both my studio practice and my art teaching. Whether through my paintings or the workshops I lead, I aim to foster creativity, meaningful connection, and a renewed appreciation for the human touch behind artistic expression by bringing back the foundations of humanism.
I live and paint in the Hudson Valley with my husband, our daughter, and our dog all of whom find their way into my work, one way or another.
